Sanat Amladi is a managing director and regional underwriting manager for the Business Finance and Syndicated Finance divisions within Wells Fargo Capital Finance. Based in Santa Monica, CA, he is responsible for managing a team of underwriters and loan closers for direct and participated asset based transactions.
Sanat started his career in 1996 as a field examiner at Norwest Business Credit, a predecessor Wells Fargo company. After two years of performing field exams in the Western United States on behalf of Norwest Business Credit and Norwest Bank, Sanat was promoted to relationship management and managed an active portfolio of up to 15 direct asset based deals. In 2001, he made the transition to underwriting and loan closing with Foothill Capital Corporation, underwriting and closing on average 20 deals a year over the next several years. Sanat was an integral member of the Syndicated Finance division of Foothill and helped grow the business to a multibillion dollar portfolio of transactions. In 2007, Sanat was promoted to managing senior underwriter, responsible for managing a team of underwriters and loan closers within the Syndicated Finance division, and in 2012 he transitioned to the position of regional underwriting manager for both Business Finance and Syndicated Finance in the West.
Sanat currently serves on a number of task forces including Cross Border Training and Development and the Diversity & Inclusion Council. Sanat earned his B.A. in Economics and Finance from George Washington University, in Washington D.C. He is married with two children (10 and 7) and enjoys mountain biking, hiking and horseback riding with his kids.
