Bio

Lee is experienced in a wide variety of finance matters, including acquisition financings, cross-border financings, leveraged recapitalizations, debtor-in-possession financings, unitranche, second lien and mezzanine facilities and fund guaranty facilities for private equity sponsors. He has extensive knowledge of inter-creditor issues (generally, as well as issues that may be applicable to specialized structures, such as unitranche and Term B facilities and receivables securitizations), cross-border financing issues and other areas that impact upon financings, including bankruptcy law and non-standard collateral issues (e.g., intellectual property and foreign collateral). In addition to his core secured finance practice, he has had the opportunity to work on numerous bankruptcy-related matters, as well as on financial products for some of Hahn & Hessen’s capital markets clients such as securities repurchase transactions and interest rate swap agreements.

Lee is a Fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers. He has served on numerous panels for the Practicing Law Institute, the Banking Law Institute, the Commercial Finance Association and the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys. He is the New York State Reporter for the Commercial Law Survey of the ABA's Commercial Financial Services Committee and has also published articles on secured lending and bankruptcy law issues in The New York Law Journal, The Secured Lender and other publications. He was the 2015 recipient of the Commercial Finance Association's Harry H. Chen Memorial Award in recognition of his contributions to the CFA's educational programming. Lee was named to the New York Metro Area list of Super Lawyers by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. While at law school, he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and an editor of the Journal of Law and Social Problems
