In the finance arena, Marshall counsels on senior debt, corporate, acquisition financing, mezzanine financing, and syndications involving recapitalizations, refinancing, and commercial, asset-based, and cash-flow lending. In the restructurings and reorganizations areas, he represents senior creditors and syndicate groups, bond holders, and secured creditors in and out of bankruptcy. He also advises on exit financing, contested bankruptcy matters, plan formulation, strategic divestitures, recapitalizations, and other financial and legal restructures.
Working out of the firm’s New York and Los Angeles offices, he also handles international matters. He closes many US-UK cross-border deals involving acquisitions, and collateral perfection and priority issues.
An author and speaker, Marshall writes and publishes articles and frequently delivers presentations to business and legal organizations. He has written two treatises, Lender Liability and Advanced Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Practice. He also serves on the nominating committee of the Commercial Finance Association (CFA) and co-chairs the CFA’s Education Foundation.
